Judy Blackett Director

Plumplanet Ltd was founded by me - Judy Blackett back in 1994 and was known then as Keystroke Associates.

I have worked in the computer industry for over 30 years and started out in the good old days of mainframe technology, selling software to major blue chip companies. I then moved onto mid range computers and I became involved in understanding business processes and how software could improve the various aspects of a  business in manufacturing distribution retail etc.

I became a Branch Manager of a very successful software house in the midrange arena and then attained Director status.

I then decided to start a family and the commitments required of a full time director at the early stages of a child's life did not fit in with my philosophy of parenting.

In 1994 I started keystroke Associates offering people in my local area training on mainly Microsoft products to help them make the most of the investment they had made. This naturally led to fixing problems that people were experiencing with their machines.

The job fitted in perfectly with my life as a mother as I was able to give my child the attention she deserved but it also gave me something else to keep me busy and stimulated. Suddenly I had truly discovered the meaning behind flexible working.

In 1999 I decided a recognised teaching qualification would give me further credibility and after two years was awarded PGCE .

The company continued to grow from strength to strength and we have 4 people in the team of which three are fee earners. I now want to GIVE YOU the opportunity to experience:
